'Wide Range Of Possibilities' For Hurricane Tammy: Here's What To Know Now

As newly formed Hurricane Tammy heads north, forecasters say it will take a few days to determine its long-term path.

As of Monday afternoon, Oct. 23, Tammy, a Category 1 storm, is located in the eastern Caribbean, north of Anguilla. It's expected to affect the islands of Bermuda late this week. (See the image above.)

"There is a wide range of possibilities of where Tammy could go," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist and Lead Hurricane Forecaster Dan Kottlowski said.

Tammy is the 19th named storm of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season, including seven hurricanes.

The Atlantic hurricane season began on Thursday, June 1, and runs until Thursday, Nov. 30.
